Our Story:

Zlam Dunk is a 7 member dance punk band from San Marcos, Texas. Formed in a dorm room in February of 2008, they started recording their first EP 4 days later. In a 7 month time span, Zlam Dunk!! has recorded a 3 song EP (Nothin' but Net) and another 6 song live EP (Zlam Comes Alive (which has been receiving airplay on KTSW in San Marcos)), all the while playing shows in San Marcos (Lucy's, and house shows), San Antonio (the Warhol and Ruta Maya) and Austin (Red Eye Fly and The Mohawk). Zlam Dunk is 3 for 3 in battle of the bands, most recently taking first place at a b.o.t.b. at Red Eye Fly on August 16th. Their second show was a Texas State b.o.t.b., which earned them an opening spot for Paul Wall. 

Zlam Dunk records all their own E.P.'s, and has already started working on their first full length, also recorded by the band. They create all their own designs, screen all their own posters, and screen all their own shirts. They have no manager and book all their own shows. Their van is named Thelma, and she seats 7 comfortably. 

Zlam Dunk's live show has two drummers, one with a full kit, and one with a small kit; two singers who also bang on drums and tambourines and cowbells; a bass player who sings, a guitar player who falls down but looks good while doing it; and a keyboardist who has a full beard. The band turns into Zombies half way during the set and feasts on the brains of the crowds people. Overall, the band's live show is a very heated experience, much like going into labor, and guaranteed to leave the crowd tired and wet.
