"20 –year old Brandon Nardoianni, aka TRACES, was born and raised in the shoop park section of Norfolk, VA .

TRACES has entered and won many local contests such as the Mobb Deeps mobbed out wednsdays at Club Piccassos to open up for Mobb Deep in concert at Willet Halland came in 1st place out of 65 groups.

" Deja's Appollo night at the Virginia House of Comedy where he came in 1st place out of about 30 groups, Winner of DJ B's "Spit Hot Fire."

Starsearch 2005 and came in 1st place out of 26 groups, Deja's Appollo night at the Virginia House of Comedy where he came in 1st place out of about 30 groups, Winner of DJ B's "Spit Hot Fire."

Nightly battle on 103 JAMZ(102.9 FM) 21 times and current title holder of the All time wins at 21 wins total and also title holder of wins in a row at 14 wins in a row, 3rd place in the 50 Cent Massacre battle at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater, and many ,many more.

These performances caught the attention of some local radio DJ’s like Nick, Trisha, and shaggy from Z104, Deja and DJ BEE From 103 JAMZ, and got him an interviews on the radio show “Deja's View” on 103 JAMZ. Needless to say he has started creating a good buzz for himself on the local scene.

He’s really knows how to rock a crowd and keep everyone wanting more by his energy and passion he emits through his performances, you never leave a TRACES show disappointed,” Claimed a TRACES fan at Starsearch 2005 after his performance."

When TRACES was asked how he formed his unique style he said, ” I just listened to a lot of different styles of music growing up and it really gave me a broad appreciation for alot of different types of music. I feel that there are just to many ways to grow as not only an MC but a musician to just rap the same way all the time about the same thing that everyone else is rapping about just to so I can get radio play."

That’s not what real Hip Hop is all about, its all about self expression and originality. Even though its hard and it can put you in some uncomfortable positions to break the mold and be different from everyone else, sometimes you gotta step out of your comfort zone to become more comfortable in the long run.....ya feel me...I guess you could say I just like to be different. “Everything that has happened to me in my life has happened for a reason."

All the ups and downs have only added fuel to the fire that has been burning brighter and brighter and brighter every time I fail or have to start over again.
